Welcome to the PDX Home Brewers Club!

Joomla! LogoPBC's mission is to have fun promoting the art and knowledge of home brewing. Although PBC's home is in Beaverton, Oregon, all are welcome!

PDX Home Brewers club is based out of Beaverton, Oregon and is open to one and all who share the common interest: to share and learn about the wondrous art of homebrewing. In our attempt to promote the hobby even more, we created pdxbrewers.com. Here at PDX Brewers.com you can connect with other brewers to exchange ideas, techniques, equipment, recipes, and maybe even a few samples...:-)

We meet monthly at Max's Fanno Creek Brew Pub in Tigard. A great place to hang on the west side. Also we have many club events including group homebrewing, brewery tours, BBQ's, and alot of other homebrewing and beer related stuff. Our next meeting is coming up soon so visit this webpage for details or you may contact us on the links to the left.

We also offer a club email chat where most of our members hang out. If you would like to give the email chat a try, just click here. For more information on membership, dues etc , see the about tab.

If you are ready to become a member, just create a user account through the member logon on the left and follow the instructions. Once your dues have been paid your account will be activated. You can pay dues online or at the next meeting.

Thanks for stopping by!

November Meeting

Hello fellow PDX’ers

This November is elections month for our 2012 Board, and voting is limited to current member in good standing (i.e.: current on dues within 2 months). But, if you want to check out the PDX Brew club on the west side, you are welcome to visit and still see what we are all about. Please note that this election meeting will be held at Max’s Fanno Creek Brewpub in Tigard on Monday, the 21st at 7 pm and the following people identified below have been submitted as nominees for the 5 slots needed for our board. We will confirm these nominees prior to our election process which we will then use that high-tech voting method of folded paper in a box with your picks. If you would like to be considered as a nominee to serve on the board, please do so before the elections are held by entering your name on ichat or at the beginning of the November meeting. The President or Chairman of the Board will be decided upon by the 2012 board to represent and lead our club.

Below is a list of the current candidates submitted as nominees for the 2012 board:

Jacoby Hale – Bryan Loun – Steph Stach – Shane Hazzard – Brett Begani – Paul Worden – Wayne Wenthin – Alan Ruff – Mark Jacobson

Each candidate may if they want, have a minute to tell us what they feel they could bring to the club, or why they want to or is unable to serve. Also, club members present may also have a moment to state why they think a candidate is or is not suited for the position. This is totally optional and not mandatory though.

After the elections, we will then do a blind tasting and judging for those who participated in Iron Brewers V. This will be a people’s choice award and the winner of this competition will have their name submitted to brew with the Green Dragon Brew Crew in the coming months.

Final Note: Please show up and vote for this is your club and your chance to help in supporting how it is managed and ran in 2012.
