PDX Brewers Club

We have two special guests attending our March 15th meeting.  The topic is Oregon DUI laws.  Though all of us are responsible homebrew consumers, its important to know your rights and options should you ever get pulled over.  Ben Eder is an attorney with Thuemmel & Uhle in Portland and represents those charged in DUI cases.  His brother, David, is a prosecuting attorney with the city of Beaverton who deals with such cases, but from the other side.  Together, Ben and David will be refreshing our knowledge of Oregon DUI laws and more importantly, helping us understand our options should we ever get pulled over.  It promises to be both an educational and entertaining evening as Ben and David explain the law from two different perspectives.

Club only Competition entries will be accepted for the American Ales event. This will cover Category 10 Styles.  Tasters will be Amber beers.  The tasters fee, as always is $3.

I know it is a little late getting this in, but we have been trying to verify a guest speaker, whom will not be able to make it this round. So for this month, Scott will be doing the next class in his series, this one being on fermenting with Fruit. I know, this may be a revival of the Fruit Brewers Alliance... but what can you do!

Tasters will also be fruit beers, which may include Lambics. The tasters fee as always is $3.

We will also be looking for volunteers to help with certain "projects" this year, and will be discussing what to look forward to this year with the new 2010 board.
