Welcome to the PDX Home Brewers Club!

Joomla! LogoPBC's mission is to have fun promoting the art and knowledge of home brewing. Although PBC's home is in Beaverton, Oregon, all are welcome!
PDX Home Brewers club is based out of Beaverton, Oregon and is open to one and all who share the common interest: to share and learn about the wondrous art of homebrewing. In our attempt to promote the hobby even more, we created pdxbrewers.com. Here at PDX Brewers.com you can connect with other brewers to exchange ideas, techniques, equipment, recipes, and maybe even a few samples...:-)

We meet monthly at Max's Fanno Creek Brew Pub in Tigard. A great place to hang on the west side. Also we have many club events including group homebrewing, brewery tours, BBQ's, and alot of other homebrewing and beer related stuff. Our next meeting is coming up soon so visit this webpage for details or email us.

We also offer a club chat where most of our members hang out. If you would like to give the email chat a try, just click here. For more information on membership, dues etc , see the about tab.

If you are ready to become a member, just create a user account through the member logon on the left and follow the instructions. Once your dues have been paid your account will be activated. You can pay dues online or at the next meeting.

Thanks for stopping by!

Jim aka Hopdadi, Founder and Webmaster.

February Meeting

E-mail Print PDF

I know it is a little late getting this in, but we have been trying to verify a guest speaker, whom will not be able to make it this round. So for this month, Scott will be doing the next class in his series, this one being on fermenting with Fruit. I know, this may be a revival of the Fruit Brewers Alliance... but what can you do!

Tasters will also be fruit beers, which may include Lambics. The tasters fee as always is $3.

We will also be looking for volunteers to help with certain "projects" this year, and will be discussing what to look forward to this year with the new 2010 board.

The meeting will be held on Monday, February 15th. Max's Fanno Creek can be found at 12562 SW Main St in Tigard. They are located on Main Street in Old-Town Tigard, next to Fanno Creek near the A-Boy hardware store. Their number is 503 624 9400

December Meeting

Sorry for the late announcement, but we are having our regular meeting at Max’s Fanno Creek in Tigard, as has been announced at the last meeting. It will be on Monday Dec 21st at 7pm.
Tasters will be Barley Wines (a good reason to come), with the usual $3 tasters fee. We will be having a surprise topic, so if you want to know what it is you will have to show up! This is the 2009 boards last meeting, and there is no January meeting as the Holiday Party will take its place.
If anybody has an entry for the Brown Beer Comp, you may bring it, otherwise you can have until the middle of January, as a special judging will be set up.

We hope to see you there!

Holiday Party for 2009/10

E-mail Print PDF

Be it Kwanzaa, Chanukah, Christmas, or Winter Solstice, we don't care, we just want to celebrate! This years Holiday Party, as in the past, will be held in January so that you have the appropriate time to spend with your family. It will be on Saturday January 16th at Lucky Lab's Public Houselocated at 7675 SW Capitol HWY in Multnomah. Festivities will begin at 7 pm and end at midnight.

We will be doing a bottle exchange again this year if you wish to join in. All you have to do is bring a wrapped bottle with an estimated value of $10+. You will be given a ticket when you bring the bottle, and when your number is called, you get to pick one. it's that easy, and a lot of fun.

We will also be having a raffle, with some Rogue Monk Costumes as two of the prizes!

There will be a dedicated bar for us, as we will have the whole upstairs. Pizza will be provided, but drinks are not. This should be a lot of fun, so grab a date and join us!
