Fall is nearly upon us! Here at the Raccoon Lodge & Brew Pub and Cascade Brewing, we're celebrating the changing of the seasons with an Autumnal Prequinox BBQ. The event will take place this Saturday, Sept. 19 from 3 to 9:30 pm on the back patio of the Raccoon Lodge, 7424 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy.
At 5 pm, Brewmaster Ron and his crew will roll out the barrel to debut this year's Fresh Hop beer. Barrel conditioned, this Cascadian dark style was made with 5 lbs per barrel of wet Crystal & Cascade hops. We tasted some today, and it is quite roasty and delicious. The beer will be kegged off and available on tap in the pub the following week. We'll also introduce this year's Ipanox 2009, a well conditioned and nicely balanced aged IPA. Ipanox was made with Cascade Perle, Brewer Gold and Amarillo hops, coming in at 6.25% ABV and 73 IBU. For those of you who know Ron, there will undoubtedly be a few other surprises up his sleeve!
